Joseph Chaplik has more than 16 years of executive leadership experience building and guiding top-tier companies. His business knowledge, expertise, and accomplishments with Fortune 500 companies have driven notable enterprise growth in the telecommunication and now the commercial real estate sectors.
Mr. Chaplik has personally been involved with investment real estate for nine years and has experience with over $100M in sales volume. Having the entrepreneurial spirit, he ventured out and co-founded his own commercial real estate company on November 1, 2005, specializing in multi-family, mobile home parks, and land transactions. His company has quickly become a leading real estate firm. It was recently ranked as a top commercial real estate firm by the Portland Business Journal and Oregon Business Magazine, and was also a finalist for the Oregon Ethics in Business award. Mr. Chaplik has been a guest speaker at local real estate seminars on building wealth through successfully buying and selling apartments. Most recently he was awarded as one of the top forty business leaders under the age of 40 in Oregon.
Prior to commercial real estate, Mr. Chaplik experienced early success as an Account Manager for Sprint Corporation in 1996. He quickly became the Sales Manager of the Los Angeles office responsible for business accounts, where he led a distressed region to record sales and stability. In 1999, Mr. Chaplik joined Allegiance Telecom where he contributed to the growth and expansion of this nationwide high tech telecommunications company. He served as the Sales Manager of retail accounts in the Los Angeles office until 2000, when he was promoted to Western Division Regional Manager of National Accounts. In 2001, he was promoted to Vice President of the Portland Sales office which he established, and was responsible for all sales and operations. He led this office to the highest profit margins as well as the lowest customer churn percentage of all 36 company locations. In 2003, he managed the Portland transition of XO Communications acquisition of Allegiance Telecom, and continued serving as Vice President of sales and operations with a much greater responsibility.
Mr. Chaplik's exceptional track record of success is based on the execution of his leadership qualities of competence, initiative, vision, commitment, and passion. He has the ability to communicate and lead by example, with a focus and generosity with helping others succeed. He believes people are the most important asset to an organization and builds a structure for their success.
Mr. Chaplik earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. A Portland resident since 2001, he is significantly involved in the local community. Mr. Chaplik is a board member for Ronald McDonald House Charities, and is an advocate for several other charities including Shriners Hospitals for Children. He is a member of the Portland Rotary Club, St. Mary's Cathedral, and has served on various condominium boards. He is married with two children and enjoys valuable family time.
